Terms of Wood and Woodchip Supply
In accordance with SIA “ACA Timber” environmental and quality policy and the FSC® Chain of Custody policy, SIA “ACA Timber” is committed to purchasing only legally sourced timber originating from wellmanaged forests.

SIA “ACA Timber” invites wood and woodchip suppliers to become FSC Chain of Custody participants and supply FSC certified or FSC controlled timber and woodchips.
Documents Required from Suppliers of FSC Certified or FSC Controlled Timber
If the supplier provides FSC certified or FSC controlled timber and is listed as an FSC certified forest owner and/or FSC Chain of Custody certificate holder, the following documents must be prepared:
- A copy of the certificate when starting wood or chip deliveries within the current year;
- Waybills/invoices containing information required by FSC standard requirements;
- Upon additional request from SIA “ACA Timber”, the certificate holder must also submit any other documents necessary for verifying timber origin or legality.
Documents Required from All Other Suppliers Delivering Timber to Ports and Procurement Points
From legal entities or individuals registered with the State Revenue Service (SRS) as economic operators:
- Waybill;
- If timber is delivered by the cuttingsite owner — a copy of the felling permit;
- If the supplier is not the owner of the cuttingsite — copies of waybills, felling permits, and contracts proving the origin of supplied timber;
- When starting timber deliveries (first transaction), the supplier’s representative or authorised person (with notarised power of attorney) must show an identity document and submit:
- Copy of company registration certificate;
- Copy of VAT registration certificate (if applicable);
- Selfdeclaration of timber origin – must be completed and submitted when delivering timber to the port for the first time;
- Logging work completion form – must be completed and submitted with each new felling permit;
- High Conservation Value (HCV) Identification Form, if timber is supplied from a forest stand marked as a potential habitat in the nature data management system https://ozols.gov.lv
From private individuals NOT registered with the SRS as economic operators:
- The seller or authorised representative (with notarised power of attorney) must show an identity document and submit:
- Copy of the felling permit;
- A statement confirming the sale of personal property not related to economic activity;;
- A procurement act will be issued for the timber purchase;;
- Selfdeclaration of timber origin — required upon first delivery to the port;
- Logging work completion form – required with every new felling permit;
- High Conservation Value (HCV) Identification Form, if timber is supplied from a stand marked as a potential habitat in the nature data management system https://ozols.gov.lv*.
* Before each delivery, suppliers must verify the presence of highvalue natural features in every forest stand from which timber is supplied.
To identify nature values and EUprotected habitats, we recommend using the nature data management system at https://ozols.gov.lv (if the supplier has authorised access), as well as the High Conservation Value Identification Form. created by SIA “ACA Timber.”
If a stand is marked in the system as a potential habitat (shown in yellow), and the likelihood of habitat presence is high, then the HCV Identification Form must be submitted together with the other required documents.
SIA “ACA Timber” does not accept timber from highrisk areas, including EUprotected habitats.
